The backbone of any legitimate industry is a proven standard of practices that allow architects and engineers to build trusted products. Would you ever invest in a home built by someone schooled only from YouTube videos? Never.
The home automation industry is exploding with new products that allow technology to work for us in some amazing ways. The tidal wave has spawned new business opportunities for AV, electrical, and affiliated contractors. But how do you tell which contractor is more qualified to steer you away from project disaster, and toward inevitable success? The Home Technology Association is solving this problem.
There are now a set of standards to help distinguish home automation hobbyists from true industry professionals.
HTA is defining the industry competency standard and they’re gaining a lot of support from reputable partners like Control4, Crestron, Lutron, Savant, Sony, and others. Their mission is to bring much needed quality control to the Wild West of home automation. BPS fully supports HTA and we’re excited to play a role in keeping this industry standard alive and well.
BPS is a certified HTA industry leader for Estate-level home automation. The distinguished clients we serve expect the very best on every level. From mechanical drawings to installation and support, our number one mission is to guide our clients toward inevitable success.
Thanks HTA for recognizing the hard work everyone has been doing on team BPS. We look forward to many more years of achieving great things in the home automation industry.

We’re absolutely blown away by the response we received from the Consumer Technology Association at CES this year. BPS took home four TechHome Mark of Excellence awards, an unusually high number for an integration company. We won Ultimate Home of the Year, Lighting Control Project of the Year, Specialty Project of the Year, and the coveted Innovation Award. We couldn’t be more thrilled to deliver this news to everyone who worked so hard to create such an amazing home.
Tequesta is a 16,850sf residence along South Florida’s picturesque intracoastal waterway, and BPS worked diligently with the property owner to transform an old-world classic into new-world luxury. The property has multiple automated systems of lighting, shades, A/V, HVAC, network, and security, that are seamlessly integrated and controlled from intuitive touchpanel displays throughout the home. In addition to a complete systems upgrade, Tequesta has a two lane Brunswick-built bowling alley. To celebrate her love for art and his love for innovation, they wanted to create a home that would showcase her collectibles while offering an interactive gaming environment to entertain family and friends.
There’s only one thing more exciting than being awarded for hard work, and that’s being optimistic about the future. BPS is dedicated to bringing our clients the very best systems integration design and installation in the industry. It’s what we love. It’s what we do. Tequesta is a perfect example, take a look…
